Can you suggest on different ways on how to loose 30-100 pounds :icon_ques :eusa_thin
Mmm :eusa_thin I have never lost that amount of weight before. But what I would suggest is the following:
Consult a doctor first, 30-100lbs is alot to loose, particularly in a short space of time. Make sure you are heart healthy and thatyour body can adjust properly to such a change in body mass.
Drink alot of water, it curbs the apetite. try to get in at least 1-2 litres per day.
Exchange sweets, pastries, refined sugar for fruits and nuts as apart of healthy snacking.
Try not to eat 3 hrs before bedtime, your metabolism slows down at night.
Try to get in some exercise at least 2-3 times per week. Walk instead of catch the bus if exercise is too time consuming.
Eat breakfast, so you wont binge at lunch time.
Bake instead of fry, water instead of soda, juice, beer (these are high in calories, water has 0 calories).
Hope this helps :o

Thanks. I don't need a quick fix but I need some sort of good system. I don't want to be 100 pounds but I want to loose some more for health purposes.

Then I would definetely seek the advice of doctor in any event. The easy part is loosing the weight, but the hard part is maintaining it. You may also want to look into getting a personal trainer (Oprah's own would be nice, she is looking really good these days) :)

Well I my self have lost 164 and counting, but I had help I had a Gastric bypass. But I still have to work to lose and will have to work hard to get to my goal. The surgery was a tool to help me limit my intake and force me to eat healthier and more often to restart my metabolism which had all but died out completely. And I go to me support group to learn new and heathier ways to eat and live and to talk to other people dealing with simular issies as me that are now having to deal with stresses in other ways instead of looking for junk. I eat small meals every 2.5 to 3 hours, I limit carbs, eat high proteins(chicken-baked, broiled, boiled grilled lean ground meat and cheese {I LIVE on cheese}, little to no sugar(spenda ROCKS) NO carbonated beverages, no alchohol. I do Tae-Bo 3 times a week. Its a permanant diet I can never go off of, but that is just fine with me I'm happier and healthier.

Hello,
I am not very into going on a diet, but you can still try listening to that annoying lil voice in your head which happens to be connected to your belly. When she screams in your head, feed the belly and when you hear nothing it's just that feeding it is needless. May seem stupid but that's how I control my weight even though from time to time I fall for a nasty, delicious chocolate cake, or other sugar, high-fat, delicious, finger-licking stuffs.
Anyway execise is a really good way to keep fit, to loose weight and most of all to improve your heart condition.

There is some ways and reasons why people gain alot of weight. These factor's should be taken into consideration, as to why the person has gained so much weight in the first place. Get advisement from a physician and maybe seeing a nutritionist would help. They will show you how to calculate your body index and how much calorie's you should have a day. There is no quick fix to loosing weight. The best way is to loose the weight, in a healthy way and get plenty of excercise. Find out from the doctor if you are have depression or if you binge eat. This can cause your weight to flucuate up and down. Good luck with your quest.

well, i aint trying to lose weight. that'd be a joke, but i want rock hard ABS. i have a flat, decent tummy but i want abs. well the only good site i found was www.menshealth.com where i read, and learned and digested all that knowledge, and checked my bmi etc... i also exercise with GILAD (lololol) in the mornings.
Nothing wrong with a smaller waistline, esp. if u doing it the healthy way, rite? My BIGGEST challenge is a good workout where i dont work off the little fat i have elsewhere on my body. but some ah di exercises u need strong arms and legs - and trus mi, my arms look like twigs.
So Cocoa hunny, check out the website, its good

The weight thing is a serious thing, I personally, have treid so many things, Atkins Diet, GNLD, Low Crabs etc etc.. I have been enven tempted by them diet tabs on the TV  I worry alot about it bcuz my father died of cmoplications from heart disease, daibetes and kidney failure and how he suffered i really do want to happen to me. It seems for some of us even if we look pon the food ..it go to we belly... and you know for men, the worst place to have weight is around the waistline. I started..at a personal trainer about two months ago.. but i really do not like the weight lifting stuff. I gianed strenght but the I really do not like to lift weights. I think the problems is mind set, we take years to put it on the we want it ALL of in a week :eusa_wall ...So the things I have resorted to:
More vegetables less of the carbs (rice etc...)
Walk 5 days for the week (It not easy to get up at four am BUT it is necessary)
Set reasonable goals...If you lose 5 lbs a month. thaat 60 lbs for the year, If we stay consitent we would have lsot 45lbs already for 2005
Drikn NUFF water...trust me...you see if you eat lunch and drink something sweet you feel like you want to sleep. Drink water and you see the diffrence
most of all stay encouraged.. rome was not built in a day..
Last bun not least :icon_lol: Bun fiyah fi Burger king, KFC, Pizza Hut etc etc... :icon_lol: the more you do it it will come like theraphy :icon_lol:

I would love to get my hands on some ephedra, MAN that stuff worked, Metabolism goes through roof, and energy to burn..
Ran 150 lb. Akita's on beach at nights for miles, and then GF for remainder of evening. Weight melted off :-)
This is from someone who hates jogging.

Isn't Ephedra banned??? Because it has a habit forming ingredient and one that is dangerous? I know couple person's have died from taking it. Most noteable was some baseball player couple of years ago.

That is not a fair or informed statement. Liposuction has saved many a life, though it is invasive, it is necessary in extreme and morbid cases of obesity. In fact for people who are morbidly obese, liposuction is almost always needed before they can even start an exercise programm. Imagine a 500+ lb individual trying to do situps or jogging. They can barely get out of bed, before loosing their breath, so imagine an attempted jog would probably kill them. Their heart would be working to hard in attempt to pump blood to all the necessary organs, and thus the cardiac muscle would just give out. Bam, heart stops just like that, and they turn blue like the ocean!

didnt mean to sound harsh but folks need to watch their weight.....you notice that your getting bigger....faster.....you know you need to cut the intake...or the late night intake....do some excersise before it gets out a hand (like 500lbs outa hand). fact is many people will not be able to afford this anyway and the natural weight loss programs work better

Garlic is suppose to be good at keeping weight down too.
I think the best way to keep weight off is exercise and proper diet.
With my diet I have to be thankful that my metabolism is quiet good.
