    Exclamation Teenaged Wunderkind??

Bajan Singer Dominates ‘Weed’ - Alternative Rock Artist Jennifer Mahon Reaches #1 at

Just one month after Barbadian singer 17 year old Jennifer Mahon completed her latest EP, her songs made it to the top ten chart at WeedShare, with the catchy melody of ‘Collide’ taking the #1 spot. Weed is an innovative service developed by Shared Media Licensing that rewards file traders for sharing music on the internet. The top ten weed files included musicians from around the world, with ‘Love Hurts’ by legendary rock group Heart at # 9.

It was very exciting to see my music being accepted and recognized by this program,’ says Jennifer, ‘Weed is a creative way to address the problem of illegal file sharing and I’m glad to be one of the artists behind it.’

Jennifer was born and grew up in Barbados and began her career with regular performances on the west coast of the island. She recently recorded and co-produced her three song EP in Canada at Iguana Recording, Toronto.

Past clients of the studio include Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent and Canadian singer Nelly Furtado. Jennifer is now working on live shows with other musicians in the Toronto area. She plans to return to Barbados to promote her album near July.

She sounds a bit like the girl from Evanescence with "My Immortal" and "Bring Me To Life" mixed with some Sarah MacLachlan too...
