My small remark is, anyone can wear the title "Christian" but not everyone can walk the walk and talk the talk. A song I use to sing says "They will know that we are Christians, by our love, by our love."![]()
I know full well that none of us are perfect,it almost goes without saying.I for one am well aware of my failings and faults. I also have my good qualities.
When I found this site quite by accident,it really was a breath of fresh air to me. I tried to be positive about it because that is how I genuinly felt at the time.
One of my life-long failings is my judgement of people's character. Basically people who I quickly take a shine to often turn out to be folks who I gradually wish to distance myself from, and conversly, those I take longer to get to know often become worthwhile and firmer friends.
It often disappoints me greatly to hear people who profess to being christians being some of the most sly and conceited malicious and vexacious human beings that I have ever come across. If they are a representation of what being christlike is all about, then it is no wonder that the church in general is in a rapid decline worldwide.
I know that church goers arre only attempting to do better than most, but as earlier stated, the only thing that differentiates them from the also-rans is their attendance to their respective places of worship.Otherwise often times I think that folks who don't happen to make a big deal out of being 'religious are often far more agreeable in their everyday activities.
So the question is:Should we expect more of self professing christians in their day-to-day speech behavior and deed? Or is that too much of an expectation? Are we all dominated by our respected 'egoes' of which some just happen to have greater sized egoes than others, and therefore those larger than life egoes need far more massageing and back-slapping compliments to keep them swelled up to their owners liking.

A true christian is one who understands that it is only through God's grace can they be a true christian and not on their own merit.
As for judging christians more harshly than others who are not, I do not agree or subscribe to that mentality since Christians are ordinary people just like everyone else and are therefore not perfect. If anything, they have a harder time since the devil works that much harder to bring them down.
Bump it up so it shall not be wasted.

Define what is a christian.....then simply a person who adheres to said principles. It's not a matter of denomination....but a matter of the relationship with God (has to be "God" since it's christian) and how that relationship influences our lives.
