    - Actually, Ramesh is a master at balancing humor with serious issues. Come to think of it, he reminds me of an east indian comic writer I know from Indiana.

    - I would disagree with Crushed. God & Jesus can't be Christians. Christians are followers by definition.

or she could mean.... A true christian is someone who believes in God and Jesus??

If that is what she meant ... it still doesn't define a 'true' chrisitan I think. All christians believe in God and/or Jesus. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Jewish ppl acknowlege Jesus as their God.

The bible states somewhere in it, that when Jesus has brought all things back into subjection to God, then He will then subject Himself to God.

My take on this is that Jesus is (as an individual) subordinate to Jah Almighty. The Jews knew Jesus could not have been the Almighty walking about among them and teaching. This was never their issue with him. The offence that they took was his stating the fact that he is the Son of the Only True God. 'Hear O Israel, the Lord your God is ONE God.' 'Their is no other who has the same authority and power that I (God) have',to paraphrase the scripture.

This is in response to Foxy Kay's last post with regards to the Jews not recognizing Jesus as God. (should have quoted her)

Jews believe that Jesus was not the Messiah, but a Messiah. In those days there were many tricksters and magicians claiming to be the Messiah, and those that were found out were mercilessly punished even hung on crosses. Jews in those days took a dim view of persons pretending to be the Messiah and thus taking advantage of them.

True. Many persons back in those days claimed to heal the sick as such.
Main proof is that Jesus Christ rose on the third day from the dead, no one else did such.
