I have a friend who lives/lived in Grants Pen, some stuff he used to tell me.
Madhacker inspired this thread. What's life in a garrison community really like?
Somebody who has lived in one or is living in one, please just share what is really going on for those of us who don't know.
Working for a better future.

The law is swift.
Unity is priority #1.
Internal security not a problem (as long as there is no war).
Ignorance is prevalent.
Joblessness is a norm.
Alignment to one political party is a must.
Distrust of the security force (the legal one).
Women have babies like chicken laying egg.
Among other things.
Revolution!!!
what is a garrison community ?
look at the patience that I'm demonstratin'
After a week or two I usually start eliminatin'
But we got thru the convo on the phone
Now we finally chillin' in the condo all alone
I tried to be the expressive, without bein' aggressive
Just bein suggestive, a lil more impressive
When Justice originally sed law is swift, I thought he was reffering to Babylon. However furhter down in teh post, it's obvious that the law is internal. {distrust of the securiyt force}
I would love for Justice to elaborate on point number one.
If I were an enzyme I would be DNA helicase so I could unzip his genes

@ BM: In some sense it is. In another sense it is the option for the outcast of society. A house in these community is either free or no more than 100G (and 100G is expensive), so when you can’t afford the outside world you move here. Electricity, water and cable is ‘free’.
@Twinkie: you dare not break the law set in these community there isn’t a written piece of paper going around with the rules of survival, you just know that certain things you dare not do else the punishment range from a shot in the foot, beating, murdered and stuffed in a barrel or for a period of time your life in on chalk line.
Revolution!!!
Sounds about right, my source was telling me about this guy who was taken to Garrison court for rape, with the guy defending himself against allegations from the girl and her mom, (the girl was mentally retarded).
He lost, after the girl shouted "a you fcuk me." To the amusement of the crowd.
Punishment was a severe beating, and my source said one of the guys in the crowd had up the guy for something and used the opportunity to cut him up without fear of reprisal.

It appears like the people in these garrison communities are relinquishing alot of their individual freedoms in exchange for a house and 'free' electricity. That is alot to give up from my standpoint.Originally Posted by Justice
This reminds me of Jonestown and Waco. Sounds like a dictatorship to me.Originally Posted by Justice

That is how they proved the man's guilt? What happened to physical evidence like semen and DNA?Originally Posted by nester-san
