Why Trinis love pepper and curry so?

My trini ppl..why does yu all lover pepper and curry so. Just now, Chow, telll mi who would any want to put pepper on mango and june plum (pomcethay sp*). Gezz... And that doubles good God, all that pepper and curry! I know the East Indian culture but gezze. Does you all got to pepper EVERYTHING?
