A_A - I know EXACTLY how you feel, because I was in a similar circumstance. It seems a number of us have had such experiences with people in the church eh?

For me it was much closer than just a female friend. She was my cousin. She was practically my sister, the way how we were close. The good thing is that she's not the type of girl to take anything lying down (no pun intended). Let's just say that the pastor can no longer father any children, nor can he service any women for as long as he lives.... unless he can get another organ surgically re-constructed....

But I like the way you ended your piece A_A. You touched on something EXTREMELY important. Let NONE of us as men EVER say that we would NEVER beat a woman. You don't know what your breaking point is. You don't know what deep dark hidden monster lies inside your id. You simply don't know. We as God fearing people should first say: "If not for the Grace of God..." before we disclaim any probability that we could commit any wrong-doing. No matter how opposed to it we are.

Women can be VERY provoking. Most men would simply walk away or go hang out with his brejins. But what if she WON'T let you walk away to cool off your head? What if EVERYWHERE you go, she followed you around and provoked the living sanity out of you? What if she followed you to the very ends of the earth and broke you like a little girl, not giving you a moment's rest? What would you do then? Walk away?

I will bring one name to you: Orenthal James Simpson.

O.J. was not known as a woman beater. In fact, O.J. in his early life was known as the gentle giant. Whenever he and his first wife had issues, he simply walked away. He would NEVER lay a hand on her. His peers called him a Gentle Giant for a very good reason: His personality was that of a passive-reclusive, until he was on the football field. He and his wife had kids. But throughout their marriage, it was VERY rocky. In all the years he was married to her, he NEVER lay a hand on her. Not ONCE. Not EVER. NEVER. Woman beating was just NOT him.... or so he thought...

When he divorced her and married Nicole Brown, he had taken upon himself a monster of biblical proportions. Nicole Brown had many clashes with O.J. throughout their marriage. But one thing Nicole Brown was known for, is her insatiable tenacity. She just WOULD NOT QUIT.

If O.J. walked out of the house to get a smoke after an argument, she followed him outside, and continued it out there.

If O.J. went to a friend's house to get away from the argument, she called the friend's wife, THEN came over, and continued it there.

If O.J. flew to Japan and sat in the mineral bath there to cool off, she flew to Japan and found out where he was staying, and continued it there.

If she couldn't find him, she messaged him, she called repeatedly, she left messages with his agent, she became the most annoying thing in the universe.

Then in one of their arguments, she called him a N*gger......

.....that was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

O.J. was forsaken by the black community because he had more white friends than black. In fact, at the time, he was the ONLY black person to live in the white communities in California. White people of america LOVED O.J., because he was a "gentle giant", a humble, respectful, non-ignorant, highly intelligent, well-spoken black man. But NONE of them had EVER called him a N*gger...

...that was the first time he EVER hit a woman. That was the first time ANYONE had ever pushed O.J. over the edge. When his ex-wife (who is black btw) heard that O.J. beat Nicole, she was SHOCKED, because she said, and I quote:

"...that's not the O.J. I married. That's not the O.J. that I know. I bet it's because of that white b*tch he took up onto himself - trying to be some god damned Oreo..."

Can you imagine being a black man living in white america, married to a white woman who calls you a N*gger in a heated argument?

How would YOU react especially after all that she had done?!

Now let me ask you a simple question:

Given that O.J. simpson was nicked named "The Gentle Giant" by his peers because of his personality, do you think it would have been possible that O.J. could have beat a woman? NO ONE EVER THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLE! Not even O.J.!!

But it happened!

Now I'm not advocating that Nicole be beaten to a pulp, nor am I advocating his murdering her (or being responsible for her murder at least)...

...but there is a moral to this story:

NEVER say that "I would NEVER beat a woman... EVER". You don't know what your breaking point is. As reclusive and reserved as you think you are, as holy and saved you think you are... you are STILL HUMAN.

Instead we should say: "By the Grace of God, I would NEVER hit a woman". That is why we have the following scripture:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.

You can't disclaim any sin or wrong doing by your own will. It is by the Grace of God. Thank you Arch_Angel for making that known.

Thats nice you went to the bible with the scriptures. We all no that it is humanly possible. Because we are not perfect human beings and we are capable of anything, because of that. So that is why people should not be surprised, when they hear about these things happening. But they always are because they always look at that person in that way. They always look at that person as being perfect. Its just like the pastors and priest. People always look at these people like they are perfect. Dont they?

Yes they do. It's a narrowminded human fault we are all guilty of. These people are under a great deal of pressure to live a certain type of life, exemplified for all to see. But we have to bear up these people in prayer all the time, because human nature is a terrible, TERRIBLE thing. No one is exempt from falling under the strain of human nature. The will of one's id is almost impossible to suppress under extreme circumstances. That's why Christ died people. Cuz he knows the limitations of human nature.
