Kara is "Clarke's/Kal-El's Kryptonian cousin". Lana is supposed to die so it's neither here nor there. I'm more worried about Lois though. Will she forget she knew Clarke from smallville?

Plastique made her appearance on Smallville after blowing up a bus while trying to evade Luthercorp agents sent to track her down and return her to the Montana facility where Chloe had been entrapped. She kills her boyfriend while protecting her identity by using her heat vision.

Clark does his first costume change inside a phone booth, but it's not what you think.

Now that Clark is at The Daily Planet, he has the opportunity to hear about disasters and rush to the scene. His new boss is Tess Mercer who has taken over Luthercorp and as such, The Daily Planet. She has recruited Plastique to join a "Team", perhaps a precursor to the League of Doom?

Maxima, the Queen of Almerac (the chick with the red hair that disguises herself in a green dress while on Earth - she can control men with her pheromones and has super-strength) makes her appearance looking for a mate who won't die from her kiss. She searches for the last son of Krypton and he nearly (oh so close!) falls for her when Lois finds them in the elevator.

I'm not really liking the acting, editing and effects of tis season. The story is there...just missing something.

    No more Smallville till January.

Today's episode was tough. In a search for Lex, Oliver passes through Cuba and finds Lana who discovers he's Green Arrow. He convinces her to go to Chloe's wedding while Lois examines her feelings to Clark which she soon realises is not as hidden as she first thought. Didn't help when Lana showed up. Meanwhile Davis transforms into a hideous monster stronger than Clark and literally crashes the wedding, kicks Clark's ***, sends Jimmy to the hospital and carries Chloe (apparently) to the Fortress of Solitude which Brainiac's essence has infected.

Oh, and we see Lex's silhouette hooked up to some kind of medical facility watching these events take place on a screen......

From the previews of the next season, Clark will fly (or leap tall buildings) and have his suit finally.

Yes sir Ramesh.... so the producers have gone against their word. I think they've decided to create their own story arc so they can have the freedom they want to with Clarke Kent and now Superman because Clarke Kent is no nerd and Lois never falls for Clarke. She always likes Superman. Now they brought back Lana. I always thought they'd bring back Lex... with a new actor and use plastic surgery to cover the new look since Rosenbaum said he wouldn't be back. Silhouette didn't look like Rosenbaum at all. In any event... no more episodes till Jan 16... kinda sux but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Ramesh, that picture or clip you saw with Clarke in costume was not Clarke. It was Oliver Queen/Green Arrow dressed up as a BLUE & RED caped crusader to protect Clarke's identity. This was in episode 7 when Jimmy figured out Clarke's identity so they pulled the same trick they did back when Lois figured out Green Arrow's identity with the "I can't be two places at once" switcheroo. Green Arrow saved Jimmy when Clarke was just returning from saving Lois. Jimmy thought it was Clarke who saved him but Clarke denied and pointed out Green Arrow who was posing on top of a building in a Red Cape and Blue body spandex.

No, I was talking the preview of what's in the upcoming episodes. They showed this after the episode ended. They wouldn't include something already shown... would they?

    Edit:
I just rechecked the promo. They don't show the face (13th second) but the person appears to be swinging from a rope - which is not in keeping with Clark's present or future abilities.... Two possibilities:

    1. It is Oliver again - I doubt this because it comes right after the words "New Legends", which leads me to believe
    2. It may be Batman?!? Can't be, cause Batman's suit is black with black cape.....

It's 1. They showed something they showed already because they haven't finished shooting the other episodes so they just conjured something up for the promo. Actually about 90% of that promo is from episodes from this season. The only part seeming foreign to me was the part with the guy in the silver mask with a hammer or mace or something and that may be because I haven't seen episode 9 as yet. When Oliver saved Jimmy, he was swinging on a rope and after seeing the promo again, I'm 100% sure its Oliver pretending to be Clarke. The promo may have been aimed at people who missed a few episodes to spark interest. They may show reruns of season 8 until January 15 when they show new episodes so you can catch up. This season is already head and shoulders over season 8 but I guess the writer's strike was the reason behind this as a number of series suffered this fate also.

What I don't understand is that the story arc seems to be trying so hard to stick to the comics with the character development of the villians (namely Doomsday) but they don't when it comes to Clarke. Clarke is still Clarke with all of his abilities except flying yet he comes across all these people, both friend and foe, when he has become Superman as yet. I hope they are thinking of a good spinoff with this whole Justice League thing and finally promote the dude to Superman because he won't transcend in this series and he has already come against his biggest foe...DOOMSDAY. The thing about doomsday is that he can't die. He is always evolving so when his mother said to him "whatever kills you makes you stronger", she was paying homage to the fact that when doomsday dies, he comes back and can no longer be killed by that person/method. There is some controversy there because in some instance. its the method but when it comes to superman, when he killed him the first time, he was unable to kill him the second time.
