Default St Vincent PM denies rape charges

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent: The prime minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, has denied allegations that he raped a 36-year-old police officer.

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent:Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves is contemplating taking legal action against a woman police officer and her lawyers now that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Colin Williams, has withdrawn the charges of indecent assault and rape against him.

Now that the DPP has taken over and discontinued the two private criminal complaints against me, I am duty bound to assess with my lawyers all the legal options. I have been advised that I have several probable legal courses available to me against Ms. Andrews, her lawyers, and other persons, including those who have been defaming my character on radio and elsewhere and of which I have been keeping a scrupulous record,” Gonsalves said in a statement on Tuesday.

All rumours are usually twisted from the truth. Sometimes anti-Government persons use that as political gains.

That is true so true and the media plays it's roll in twisting the news as well. Anyone from St. Vincent or been there and have a feel of what the populace is saying on the ground?
