If a team had to lose by 6 for Mexico to not go through, they would throw the match and let their opponents score 6 on them.

Trust me when I say we have more talent now and playing better football. Marlon King is much better than Walter Boyd.
lol...I did think that something was kinda fishy about that Mexico game.
Any way, I agree that Marlon is a much better player than Walter Boyd, he was more about indiscipline that actual football to me. I'm still not sure about the contrasts still, but I'm willing to watch some more and to see what happens.

Walter Boyd was all about the hype and money. "Who...man a big bawler so man haffi drive Honda.... and my 3 baby mother dem haffi set"

Those were his words in an interview. The sad thing is, if he was humble. he'd have money out the ying yang.

yeah .. Think Rene` Simoes have the team on a good programme and a good path. Their attitudes seemed to have improved soo really anticipating some good performance and good results. The least is that they really put out the effort and discipline required to make a good team...

Yeah and out of everybody in our group, we scored the most goals. Grenada got thumped by Costa Rica though....sad.

I think FIFA should force the US to play all their qualifiers on grass and not turf. It gives them an unfair advantage. You noticed how the US always play so well at home? They gave Barbados 8-0 in the US and had to beg to beat them 1-0 in Bridgetown. Europeans such as Beckham have encouraged them to start using grass if they want more people to come over because the turf is affecting their games.

Interesting didn't know that.. but i'm not surprised US always looking for th easiest way out..
I might sound too optimistic, but I beleive our Boyz can put up a good challenge to the US providing they stay focused and tighten some tactical techniques.

Yes... RICKETTS has surely grown and came into his own. Yes he still makes silly mistakes but when it came down to it.... he showed pure class. It was a scrappy game because the Canadians resorted to their bullish tactics and we got the chance to steal the game twice at the end. All in all... good show Reggae Boyz. Pity I could see their game with Mexico even thou they lost.

I watched the first 1/2 of Canada/Honduras game last night and of course Canada lost 1:2 after having a early lead.

I am also disappointed that Cuba lost to the USA.

It was a scrappy game AK. We had no ideas when we were on attack and our defenders don't look where they are kicking the ball when clearing it. They just swing their feet. Are passing game was off and the Mexican pace was blistering. Ricketts did well in goal. We'd have picked up 10 if it weren't for him. The 3 goals that passed him, he couldn't do anything more for any of them. The irony of it is that we played our best when we were down 3-0. We had the Mexicans scrambling at some points. It was a fair result. We always knew we'd lose. It was a matter of damage limitation. We knew we'd lose and Mexico knew they'd win and you could see it in the body language of the players. Goodison was superb though. Our only defender. Played his heart out. Reminiscent of John Terry for England.

As for Canada game, I have mixed emotions. On one hand, Canada couldn't break the Hondurans and Mexico had to dig deep to beat them at their house. We can not afford anything less than a win because it will be very hard for us if we do lose. We can only hope than Canada not only loses to Mexico, but gets a royal thrashing because the way things are panning out, it may come down to goal difference.
