It's rather unfortunate though that the IAAF nominated him for an award which he had no chance of winning.... i.e. Performance of the year. They could've given another athlete a shot. It just leads me to believe that winners might be chosen before finalists are announced. They gave him Athlete of the Year which means only two would've been in contention for Performance of Year. But seriously... which performance outdid Bolt's 100M WR or his WR 200M run????? I didn't even remember that there was a men's 100M hurdles at the Olympics...please. Be more fair IAAF.
