Default Quality control gone sour for Grace Ketchup?

We use a lot of ketchup in our meals so we buy the 1 gal bottle regularly.

For the past 2 bottles we have bought, we started seeing air bubbles in the ketchup. And if we smell it, it had a very sour smell.

Thought it was just the first bottle gone bad, but after buying a new bottle and this one gone bad as well, figured something is up with grace's quality control.

Anyone else buy grace ketchup and run into this same problem?
Or heard of anyone complain about it?

I buy Lasco still so I wouldn't know. I always though the sourness was from adding of vinegar (ones you get in packets at fast food outlets)

I store mine in di cupboard.

I contacted Grace on their facebook profile. Customer Care contacted me by phone and apologized for it. She said the 1 gallon is intended for corporate use and not for home use and is intended to be used off quickly once open.

But I told her I been buying the 1 gallon for years and this is the first time this has happened. She couldn't explain that 1 tho. In any case, she recommends buying the 1 in the bottle instead.

She says she will replace the two 1 gallon bottles that went spoiled, with the equivalent in the bottled ones. Says she will take the spoil one and bring it to the lab. They should be delivering it to my house, but it seems the delivery man can't find mi. lol

Do you think they are going to deliver the bottles to you? MUch less to pick them up and take them to the lab?

I can understand that the gallon one can go bad quickly cause a big ketchup like that is mostly used in big cookings and catering and such.

Than again, I have never bought the gallon.

Never liked the cheap ketchup. They all tasted like pure sugar and vinegar with coloring. After you try the Heinz you can't go back

I do eat the Heinz when I am away in the states. I find it a bit sweeter than ours here or is it slightly a more tangy taste? Ah well. Still have a preference to grace's ketchup.

Is why? Grace customer service is that bad?

I had offered to bring the bottles to them and I can pick up the exchange, but she offered to have it delivered to us. The driver called me for directions but it look like him lost.

If they don't show up, I'll just post on the facebook profile or send them an email again. 2 gallons of ketchup gone to waste? No sah. Sumting haffi gwaan.

lol well i do have a 1 gallon bottle of ketchup Chris. Doesn't take long to figure that 1 out.

Yeah I love ketchup. Unless the rice is reeeeally really moist and nice, I put ketchup on it most times. Then there are the sandwiches and the burgers and the hotdogs.

I save the packets of ketchups from fast food resturants just in case the ketchup at home runs out.
