New show on ABC, simply called "V". Saw the original "V" series in the mid-80's and the special effects then were eye opening.

When the visitors arrived in the original it was similar to their arrival on "Independence Day", which I believe stole the idea. The V originally stood for Visitors and was a greeting. Eventually it became the call sign for the resistance movement meaning "Victory". The visitors themselves were lizard people whose true intent was less than beneficial for mankind.

I'd like to see if this version is better than the original. It starts next Tuesday, 7pm Jamaica time.

The Visitors have arrived! Those of you who saw the original series (or the rebroadcast on SyFy Channel during the weekend) will get a chance to see how much the remake is better (or not) than the original.
