Simple, Dudus knows too much dirt and if he talks, he will sink plenty "Big" people - some of whom are in the current govt.

There is no way the JLP will let that happen so easily. They are willing to sacrifice the nation to keep their secrets.
Has Bruce said he won't let the courts decide? It seems he gets in the middle of every little thing instead of letting the relevant authorities deal with it.

Then again, there was a news article in the observer about this Jamaican guy who was released from prison in the US after serving his time and came to Jamaica. The US requested called for his extradition and they wouldn't give details of why. But his lawyers and the courts didn't turn down the US request for him.

So he was sent back to the US, faced a judge and the judge asks him why is he in court today if he already served his time. He told them he doesn't know and that the US authorities sent for him.

If I find it again I will post the link to it. But if this is the case, then our courts have been approving extradition requests to the US even without enough evidence.

Maybe it is a good thing Bruce stepped in? But then again, why now?

The Jamaican Courts have denied extradition requests before.

Bingham has been in the extradition wars on more than one occasion.

His latest trial began in October last year when the US, for the second time, requested he be extradited on drug-trafficking charges.

In 2007, the first time there was a request for Bingham, his lawyers had applied to the presiding magistrate to throw out the request on the grounds that local prosecutors had committed an abuse of the process.

Totally agree here. Who is in power? JLP. Who is Dudus? Hmm....don of all don's son. Who is America? Hmm.....

There is a lot of politics involved here and I highly doubt that Ja will give Dudus up.

Jamaica is getting more negative publicity in the wake of the government's refusal to sign an extradition request for West Kingston strongman Christopher "Dudus" Coke.

UNTIL recently the United States was pleased with the co-operation it was getting from Jamaica over the extradition of people accused of serious crimes. The Jamaican authorities were responding promptly to requests and, last year, sent 15 suspects to the United States. But the case of Christopher “Dudus” Coke seems to be different. The American authorities have become frustrated at what they see as foot-dragging by Jamaica’s government over their request last August for the extradition of a man they say is the leader of an “international criminal organisation”.

They say history repeats itself, it looks like it’s about to unfold again. There a lot of poli-tricks and deception going down. If the Jamaican Government dear or even try to turn over Prezzi aka Dudus, I can guarantee a lot of peoples secret, we talking top government officials dirty deeds and schemes will come to light. So Bruce will do everything in his power as prime minister to avoid it and be extra careful in what he's doing. come to think of it.... this is way out Bruce league,we talking Seaga cause more I give this deep throught i have to wonder if is Bruce or Seaga running Jamaica being that there both from the same party and Seaga having heavy tyes with Dudus and his Father. if people can put two and two's together.. A little history for those who don't know, But Dudus father is Jim Brown, one of Jamaica's Notorious Badman in the 80's, talking Dons of Dons. he was the one that Vivian Blake recruited as his protege. Jim Brown was in the same exact position as Dudus and United States wanting him. A bad deal went down and he decided that he was going to the USA & talk. The same night before his extradite in his jail cell, someone light it on fire and killed him. So there a possibility that may just happen to Dudus, if they can even get a hold of him. As for his father a lot of suspicions went about that he was silenced because he knew too much. Dudus knows a lot as well.

According to a security expert with knowledge of the operation, the US has powerful audio and video evidence of activities involving Coke, as well as several Government officials, including members of the legislature, inside the Tivoli Gardens community centre.

With the use of Satellite Internet Telemetry System (SIMS) similar to that used to record wildlife activities, the US has captured the make, colour and licence plates of vehicles entering and exiting Tivoli Gardens at specific periods, as well as conversations, the expert said.

Also captured, the expert said, was a gathering of some Government officials, along with individuals from the Tivoli Gardens community making and smoking what appeared to be marijuana spliffs at the centre, on different occasions.

    Default JLP Confesses!

THE ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) yesterday conceded that the decision to approach US law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips originated within its ranks and revealed that the mystery Government minister who met with State Department officials and representatives of the law firm was junior foreign minister Dr Ronald Robinson.

JLP should just step down now. They don't have a leg to stand on. Where is Justice? Where is Integrity? Where is Transparency?

They straight out lied to the Jamaican people all along. They have no business being the govt.

Yes, this is bad on the Govt, so bad. However, who are you gonna push back in there? the ones that messed it up for two decades? the ones that lied to us on many many occassions? oh, sorry, they never would have been caught doing anything close to this right BCK? Sound like a concerned Jamaican yout...cause you sound like the opposition that only want to get back in power. My concern is that there is a shortage of leadership on both sides of the fence, which leaves us in a dire situation. My concern is also, what team will be able to put their selfish greed aside and work for the benifit of the country.
