I was really hoping that Portugal would have beaten Cote d'Ivoire.
This world cup just goes to show every jack man team have a chance of making it to the world cup finals.

    World Cup starts at 1:30pm.

This is a match worth watching again. Intense play on both sides, but I felt Brazil was holding back the first half. NK had better control of the ball then.

Brazil did not impress me in this match. Yes, the first goal was spectacular - but it was a fluke.

Korea impressed me more with how they played and defended.

Brazil was actually lucky to pull off the win.

Man, I miss the days when we could watch some spectacular football and skill being played on the field from the likes of Pele and Maradona. Those days are just gone yow.

Germany is the only side I see that showed some excellent skill.

    A whaa gwaan star?

How man like Korea ranked 105 in the world, fi hold off Brazil, #1 ranked in the world, for 55 mins to score a fluke goal?

I not watching World Cup to come see Korea or South Africa to win it.
    Ahh bwooy.

hmm its still early days yet. I wasn't impressed with Brazil today but in the end what matters is result. Although I was impressed with Germany I can track back to 2002 world cup when Brazil opening game with turkey ended 2:1 and Germany trounce Saudi Arabia 8:0. And we all know how that world cup turned out. Added to that is the fact that no european team has ever won the cup when the tournament is hosted outside of europe, but their is always a first.

I was very impressed with Korea DPR defense at one point it felt like they built a wall in the penalty area, congrats to them for playing an excellent and gutsy game and they deservedly got a goal at the expense of Brazil's flat footed defense.

Brazil is a team that will turn up to play for "big matches", I'v watched them beat Argentina on their home soil 3:1 during the qualifying stages in what I will call a world cup winning performance, and watched them come from 2 goals down to beat USA in the confederations cup final so don't count them out based on this result alone.

Oh by the way that opening goal was brilliant was no fluke watch it again and look at the direction of his foot when he kicked the ball. but anyways call it what you will its still the best goal of the tournament so far in my opinion.

Looking at it again, the first goal is brilliant. Still think it's a fluke though.

The Korean goal wasn't bad either. Caught Brazil defence flat footed.
