Default IAAF World Championships 2011 - Daegu

The 100m mens finals ... oh man ... what a disappointment with Usain Bolt being DQ for a false start. Would have loved to see him run.

Yohann Blake did us proud though, with the only time under 10s.

Of course, he took Jamaica to the podium with gold. We're proud of that.

Finally, gold for Grenada - congratulations to Kirani James; Merrit bites the dust.

Fourth place nothing to sneeze at when you consider the size of Jamaica. As one sportscaster put it (I'm paraphrasing it a bit):

"How does a small island like Jamaica produce such great athletes?"
