Hail folks. One thing I know, the Labourites still walking around in shock after their defeat at the polls. They never really stood a chance after the Mannat-Dudus business.

It's still shocking the whooping the JLP got. Jamaicans really love change just for change sake.

I've been wondering how the polls could have been so wrong (they showed the two parties neck and neck) and one thing the G2K said may make sense: They said the PNP recruited a lot of new voters in various key contituencies (persons just becoming of the age to vote) who were not interviewed by the pollsters, many of whom had been influenced by their teachers disgruntled with how the previous gov't dealt with their wage disputes.

Either way, Jamaicans who are experiencing economic woes would believe change in Government may be the only way to get economic freedom. What they don't realise is the biggest foe to economic slavery is a lower population. Less people; higher wages.

The polls were way off. I guess Jamaicans just swing them wide and voted differently.
